Paper Pleating

This is a pleated card technique

Materials:

Eazi - score board                                 sanding block

Backing paper - capsule collection - papermania - Aqua

Boutique ribbon - bows - dotty buttons - papermaina - Aqua

Jewel coloured cardstock - white core

Pepper and Friends glitter stickers

Take one sheet of the jewel coloured cardstock, 6 x 6.

Using the eazi-score board, score on the first score line.

Then on the second score line.

Repeat this across the card as below

This is the card scored.

Fold along the creases in a concentina fashion - backwards and forwards.

Once folded, cut the 6x6 sheet in half lenghth ways, and sand with the sanding block.

Place some tape on the underside of the folds, ready for sticking down. This will keep the folds in place, and stop the card straightening up.

Back your patterened paper onto your main card.

Stick your two seperate pieces of pleated card together, overlapping one with the other, making a continuous piece.

Stick your pleated piece onto your main card.

Layer your Pepper and Friends sticker onto card, and taking a copic marker, edge the card with the chisel end of the marker. Put this aside.

Stick the papermaina ribbon and bow on the Left hand side of the card.

Stick the 'topper' which was put aside, and stick half on the pleated piece and half on the patterned backing paper.

Take three spotty papermania buttons, and glue them onto the bottom right hand corner of the card.

This is the finished card.

Embossing

The technique below will show you how to produce this lovely feminine card

Materials needed:

Heat Gun                                                               Stickles - diamond

Clear Embossing Powder                                   Silver Peel off

Versamark Pad                                                    6"x6" card

Purple backing card - bazzill was used             Silver versamark ink pad

Pink backing card - bazzill was used                 Ribbon

Rubber stamps: 2 floral - different sizes             Double sided foam and double sided tape                                                 Glue

Cut out a square from the purple bazzill 5 1/2 " square.

Ink up the larger floral stamp with the versamark pad - do not press the ink into the stamp, just light taps will do it. Stamp randomly over card, stamp some flowers off the edge ofthe card - this will give a more professional effect

Pour Embossing Powder over the stamped images - don't worry about pouring all of it over, as you tip it back into its pot once images are covered.

Take your heat gun, and heat the embossing powder - do not hold too near, or the powder will disappear - this is called 'over cook'.

Once it starts going clear, move your heat gun onto another spot.

Do not use it from side to side like you would a hairdryer - just keep it still and move it on slowly.

Cut a tag from the same sheet of bazzill cardstock 4 1/2" x 3"

Use the same stamps, ink up as before and repeat the embossing process.Once this is done - take your silver versamark ink pad, and ink the edges of the tag, this will help it to stand out once on the card

Make a hole in the top of the tag wih a circle hand punch, then thread a piece of ribbon through, making a loop, pull the ribbon ends through the loop.

Take your 5 1/2" square card, and layer it onto the pink card

leaving 1/8" of the pink showing all around the edge - cut.

Layer this onto your base card (6" x 6")

Put some double sided foam on the back of your tag

Layer your tag onto the card at an angle.

Decorate the tag with some dots of stickles - this just 'lifts' the tag

Put the card aside for the stickles to dry.

Once the stickles are dry take your paper flowers, and tie a bow around the stems - dab some glue onto the flower heads, and stick onto your tag.

Add some peeloff wording of your choice.
